Courchevel

Les Airelles

Pierre Gagnaire pour les Airelles is an intimate dining room for just 20 guests within the Hotel de Charme Les Airelles in Courchevel 1850. The kitchen, which has been described as a “flavour laboratory”, serves revisited traditional French cuisine paired with fine wines from the numerous grand cru wine cellars. This restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars.

Le Chabichou

The luxury Chabichou Hotel in Courchevel 1850 is home to Le Chabichou, presided over by Chefs Michel Rochedy and Stéphane Buron. In this two Michelin star restaurant, you’ll find classic fare using locally sourced products served with artistic perfection. The chefs take flavour inspiration from around the world to create tantalising menus with gourmet ingredients, including caviar, lobster and truffles. In this theatre of French gastronomy, sommelier Bruno Cahu will select the finest wines to match your choice of dish. With individual dishes priced at around €100, the set menus priced from €60 to €205 represent excellent value for money.

Le Strato

Yet another Michelin starred restaurant in Courchevel 1850, Le Strato has a single star from the respected French guide book. Here, chef Jean-André Charial presents a memorable gastronomic experience with warm home cooking. The menu transports you from the snow-covered Alps to the warm Mediterranean coast. How does this sound? ‘Sea scallops with heirloom watercress tasting of smoked country bacon, crispy potatoes and wild purslane, and Italian white truffles from Alba’. Desserts are a contemporary take on classics like lemon blancmange with candied grapefruit rind and crunchy meringues.  Set menus are priced from €175 to €320.

Azimut

This hidden gem is tucked away in Le Praz 1300. Chef François Moureaux’ love of quality, fresh products comes across in the rave reviews of this one Michelin star restaurant. Reviewers on Tripadvisor praise the reasonable prices; menus start at 27€, which is not much more than the cost of a hamburger et frites in this French mountain resort. Dishes include the mouthwatering pavé of pollack with rocket pesto and chickpea purée. Chef Moureaux also offers an eight-course tasting menu for those looking to treat their taste buds.

Saint Martin de Belleville

La Bouitte

Father and son René and Maxime Meilleur were awarded their third Michelin star for La Bouitte in St Martin de Belleville in 2015. This restaurant serves up authentic flavours from its state-of-the-art kitchen. Guests enjoy dishes such as duck foie gras cutlet in a fresh corn pancake with St-Marcel honey and an old vinegar reduction or thickly sliced beef filet with bone marrow, sorrels, chopped parsley and straw potatoes in the dining room overlooking the mountains.

Val Thorens

Jean Sulpice

This restaurant in the 3 Vallées resort of Val Thorens provides a relaxed environment where it is perfectly acceptable to walk in with your skis. On a sunny day, why not enjoy your Savoyard cuisine sat on the terrace overlooking the snowy mountains? On the menu you’ll find cream of chestnut with a hot-cold combination of Parmesan and truffle shavings and perch filets from Leman Lake with pistachio cream and a lemon-ginger emulsion. It's no wonder the Michelin guide awarded Jean Sulpice two stars.

La Tania

Le Farçon

In the heart of La Tania is the popular restaurant Le Farçon, where chef Julien Machet creates a seasonal three course menu using the freshest ingredients from local producers. The dishes are a delicious combination of modern and traditional Alpine flavours, matched by the Sommelier with wines from the Savoie region. At this one Michelin star restaurant you’ll find dishes such as chestnut mousse with milk sorbet and a note of mandarin. Menus range from €35 to €56.
