EXCLUSIVE SKI CHALETS

Spotlight - Maria Schnee

St Anton has long since been considered the only place to go if you want to burn the candle at both ends. It’s understandable, after all. St Anton am Arlberg enjoys some of the best terrain in the world, and a reputation for boasting the best après ski in the Alps, too.

As the home to the Arlberg Ski Club- founded in 1901- and the birthplace of the Arlberg ski technique, St Anton is well deservedly Austria’s most famous ski resort. As such an integral part of the development of downhill skiing, we would expect nothing less.

While places like Val d’Isere are well known for their own particular brand of après ski, St Anton is still very much the original party resort. Old resort stalwarts like the Mooserwirt and the Krazy Kangaruh remain some of the liveliest places to spend an afternoon or two, while new bars, spas and hotels are opening up all over.

After all, St Anton isn’t just a party resort.

It’s a luxury party resort.

St Anton is quite unlike most other Austrian resorts, in that it’s home to a whole range of stunning ski chalets. Maria Schnee is just one of these; we haven’t just chosen to spotlight this chalet because of the frankly wonderful name.

The Maria Schnee is one of those traditional chalets that oozes class; it has a timeless elegance, with traditional antique carvings and more facilities than you can shake a stick at. This is the sort of place where you could very easily spend your whole stay in the chalet, and not get bored. Whether you fancy curling up by the roaring fire, soaking in the hot tub in the fantastic wellness suite, or watching a film in your own private cinema, you’re guaranteed to have everything you need for your stay.

This is one of those chalets that perfectly balances old school Alpine charm, with sleek modern features, from the master bedroom to the contemporary kitchen filled with steel appliances having been refurbished to an incredibly high standard in only 2008.
